Maintenance, Renewal, Suspension, and Withdrawal of Certification, as well as Extension or Restriction of Certification Scope
Certificate Maintenance
Izad Hoor Aria shall maintain the employer’s certificate only upon demonstration of the continual conformity of the certified organization’s management system with the requirements of the relevant standard. In the event of major nonconformities or conditions that may lead to suspension or withdrawal, a special audit shall be conducted to assess the possibility of maintaining the certificate.
Certification Renewal
The first and second surveillance audits shall be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the management system and to ensure its ongoing conformity with the requirements of the applicable standard. These audits assess the performance of the certified organization’s management system throughout the certificate’s validity period and monitor any potential changes in the organization or its environment.
Recertification
In the event of significant changes such as structural, standard-related, legal amendments, or changes in the scope of activities of the certified organization, conducting a Stage 1 audit may be required. For organizations with multiple sites or various management standards, the audit program shall be planned to comprehensively cover all applicable aspects.
Recertification audit includes the following:
- Evaluation of the system’s performance in response to internal and external changes.
- Assessment of the organization’s commitment to maintaining and continually improving the management system.
- Review of the management system’s role in achieving the organization’s objectives.
Suspension, Withdrawal, or Restriction of Certification Scope
In case Izad Hoor Aria determines nonconformity of the certified organization’s management system with the applicable standards, the certificate shall be suspended.
Conditions for Suspension of Certification Include:
- Identification of major or multiple nonconformities and failure to implement corrective actions within the specified timeframe;
- Failure to conduct surveillance audits or other required audits according to the audit program;
- Receipt of complaints or reports indicating nonconformity within the management system;
- Noncompliance with relevant legal, standard, or contractual requirements;
- Formal request by a certified organization for suspension;
- Occurrence of work-related injuries in organizations certified under ISO 45001
Certificate suspension shall be formally communicated in writing to the organization, and a specified deadline (typically six months) shall be set for corrective actions. Failure to resolve the nonconformities within this period shall result in withdrawal of the certificate or restriction of its scope.
Exptension of certification scope
Requests to extend the certification scope are subject to approval. Once approved, the extension audit is typically conducted alongside the next scheduled surveillance audit. If an earlier assessment is required by the client, the audit will be arranged as a special audit.
